The aim of IAM Contemporary Art is to create a space where one can experience contemporary art, along with empowering the art scene in Malta and Europe with selected Japanese and East Asian Art.
IAM was established in 2017 by Naoya Inose, an emerging Japanese artist.
In 2018, IAM launched a language and artist residency program for young Japanese artists. The idea behind this came from Inose’s own experience with language barriers and obstacles in approaching the European art scene. Many other Japanese artists were unable to go further due to these concerns. The program is designed to assist artists who wish to advance their careers overseas while creating art and receiving training in the English language.
We look forward to seeing you at IAM Contemporary Art gallery.
